About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.
From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.
While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

An Awesome Treadmill with a couple of issues.,
I have been using this treadmill since Jan 03, 2010. It was delivered on a wood pallet and left in my driveway. It weighs around 220 lbs and you definitely need at least two if not three people to move this to whatever room you need to assemble it in. I’m 29 yrs old,6ft tall and 195lbs and I ordered this because I needed the treadmill to accommodate my stride at a full sprint and be able to support my weight. This treadmill has been able to do all of this with room to spare. This is a heavy duty treadmill and it provides a right amount of cushioning and dampens the impacts of running and my knees and ankles don’t take to much of a beating after my sessions. There are a couple of issues though that I don’t like about the treadmill. The treadmill makes an audible beep after every minute that you have been running. This is not a deal breaker but like many of you out there I try not to pay too much attention on the elapsed time and cover the display with a towel but that “beep” always lets me know that another minute just went by and it just annoys me that I can’t turn that off. Also, there are only five buttons for the speed selection, 2,4,6,8,10. It goes up a liitle faster than 10 but those are the buttons that are on the main display. I like to do interval training and run from 6.5 mph to 11.5 back and forth. So I have to do a lot of button pressing to achieve this. There are to many increments that this machine goes off of.For example at the gym treadmills to go from the previous stated speeds, 6.5 to 11.5 and back, from 6.5 i would just be able to punch in 1-1-.-5-enter and I am running at 11.5mph. On this treadmill from 6.5 to 11.5 I have to press, 10,enter,and manually increase the speed by a tenth of a mile from 10mph,10.1,10.2,10.3,10.4,10.5,10.6,10.7,etc. until I get to 11.5mph. So this is pretty tedious especially when I have been doing a couple of rounds and I’m getting tired. I probably wouldn’t have bought this treadmill if I had known about these two issues but the treadmill still gives me the ability to train on it aggressively and not have to worry that its going to break. Overall a good piece of gear.

|Nautilus T516,
We replaced our 15 yr. old NordicTrak with this Nautilus. I was having some tendonitis in my calves and Achilles on our NordicTrak that I contributed to old age (46yrs). I have not had any leg issues since I’ve used the Nautilus; I guess the cushioning of the NordicTrak was affecting me negatively. The Nautilus treadmill is extremely quiet so we don’t have to turn up the stereo. It has incredible range for speed and incline unlike many others. This is an incredible machine for the price!

|Worth the money,
Got the treadmill a few weeks ago and love it! It was easy to assemble, heavy, but we didn’t have any trouble. I use it for running and it is very solid. I like the fan because you can control the flow of air. It has many programs from which to choose. The ability to control the speed and incline from the handlebars is also a really nice feature. The only setback is that it is hard to move around.
