Nice tradmill,
I’ve had this model for about 5 months now. This is a very nice treadmill. It comes with “In House” installation and setup which I highly recommend. This thing weighs quite a bit and is a little awkward to unbox and setup.
You don’t want UPS to drop this thing off on your front porch.
It has a lot of features and programmable settings to auto your workout. The push button raise and lower feature is just great. Comes in handy for cleaning around device and when extra room is needed.
I’m 6 foot tall and the long length pad is very nice. The only draw back is that for a 6 foot guy, the side rails aren’t high enough to, comfortably, hold while running. They are not adjustable.
Outside of the side rails, I really like this treadmill.

|Smooth went above and beyond the call of duty,
We used two Smooth Fitness 7.6 HR Pro’s as treadmills in a dual treadmill desk installation, and overall we are very happy with the results. The white-glove installation worked perfectly and the installers set up the machines without any trouble at all, even though the installation was done on the second floor, and the staircase was narrow and had a bend in it. Using them, we liked the heavy, solid feel and the padded belt. They operate quietly enough for us to take calls while walking on the treadmills, and they were pleasant to use for an entire days walking at a time.
The use to which we put them was slightly unusual: my wife and I walk on them as we work. This means that they got continuous use, 9 hours a day, with an hour’s break for lunch, albeit not at any great speed. This is where the story gets interesting, and where Smooth showed its ability and willingness to make the customer happy regardless of the effort involved. It turns out that the treadmill motors (like others, I gather) have fans that spin at the same speed as the motor itself, which works perfectly when used at high speed or used intermittently. If you use them at a very slow speed for hours, the motors could overheat, causing problems. Which they did.
Smelling burning plastic has us worried, and sure enough, one of the machines stopped working. A call to warranty support, and they sent a new circuit board, which we put in (They offered to have someone put it in for free, but I was impatient). I plug it in, and no joy. I reversed the wires, thinking I had gotten it wrong, and the fuse on the circuit board blew. They didn’t give me any problems about that, and instead sent another one (and a person to install it). That replaced, the motor turned out to have overheated and died. They happily replaced that as well, and when the other treadmill showed the same problem, Smooth Fitness realized that they had an engineering problem on their hands.
This is where Smooth Fitness really shined. We went on a two week vacation, and during that time, they found motors that had fans that ran at constant speeds, regardless of the walking speed. They put these into two units they had, tested them, modified the mount and board to fit in the plastic case, and then sent them to us for use. (I hope they at least get a new model line or option out of their hard work). How many companies will do custom product design for free to solve your problem? The units now work perfectly, and are making us very happy. We’ve had no overheat problems at all, since the repair. This review has been posted to [...], amazon, and elsewhere.

|Unreliable treadmill,
Worked for 6 months, then broke. Took Smooth Fitness 2 months to repair it under warranty. I am only rating it 2 stars instead of 1 because they did repair it after all. Let’s see how long it lasts.
